Yosemite Beachy Elopement

Oh my heck!! Yosemite has it all. SO many clouds, a blue sky, we got BLESSED for this elopement! They danced, held each other and watched the beautiful sky together. And LOOK AT HIS OUTFIT. No one ever said you had to get married in a suit. 😉 Your wedding day is just that, YOUR wedding day!! If you’re having mixed feelings about eloping, I say do it. Go somewhere pretty. Go somewhere that makes you feel emotional. Big, yet small. Go somewhere that you can come back to for anniversaries and have equally, and even better experiences!! Yosemite is just an option, in a world with so many. ♥️

Yosemite California Sunrise Elopement

Absolutely dying over these. I drove down from the top of Utah, like tip tip top, Logan Utah. And drove down to Yosemite, California in one day and it was insane. (14+ hours) Got to my AIRBNB at like 11PM and woke up the next morning at 3AM, haha! Made it to Half dome and was basically screaming when I saw what was before me. What a magical morning. What a magical couple. I am beyond in love with Yosemite. The feelings there are so insane and true to my soul. Please enjoy these photos. ♥️

Hi there! I’m Aubree! I’m the photographer running this awesome site, business and fun experience for you! I just wanted to make a note that is super personal to me, not as a photographer, but as Aubree. ♥️ As the human as I am, just a little note to say thank you.

I turned 13 years old and dreamed of being this wonderful traveling photographer, chasing her dreams, overcoming fears and feeling good in my own skin woman that I am today. I didn’t know it would happen and I’d be living it just 6 years later. We hear this story often, from successful people. We see where they were, and where they are now, and just sit in awe. I can tell you, the in between, the middle, the ick, that is the best part. I didn’t see the gift in all of it in the moment, but now I do. My goal and every day mission is TO FIND THE GIFT IN THE SCARY. The uncomfortable , the humiliating, the gross, the failure. There is a gift in everything. Do you see it?

All in all, I just wanted to express my sincere love and gratitude to all of you. Thank you for reading this. Whether, you’re a supporter, client, family, friend or randomly happened upon this. I’m glad you’re here and apart of my story, someway. Thank you for your support, your love, your faith in me.

I am now 19 years old, living the life I want. Living the life I create for myself. Happening to life, instead of life happening to me. I am crazy invested in my education, my photography, traveling, self-help, personal development , mindset goals and becoming the better version of yourself every day.

Mood today. I love using my blog as a way to breathe MYSELF. For myself as an artist, but especially for the artist within. The artist that rarely sees the light of day. The artist that pushes me, drives me, inspires me. I believe we all get inspired by others around us, but we are most inspired by ourselves. We are inspired by our sadness, our fears and anxieties. I totally do not romanticize mental illnesses. I do not think it is beautiful to hate yourself. It is beautiful to LOVE yourself. It is beautiful to overcome. But the point is, WE are it. Ultimately, at the end of the day, you make your own decisions. You choose to be suppressed by the world or if you sore. You choose to be positive or negative, every day. So, this is the mood today. My artist inside is aching to breathe, to sing, to create. I want to inspire ME. I want to keep loving ME. What does your inner artist want? What are you craving? What do you need? What do you want? And how are you getting it?

I always get asked either right before someone books their session with me or after, “So I have no idea where I want my pictures at, I just want something unique and pretty!” Location is HUGE when it comes to your photo session. Whatever session it may be, portrait or bridal, you want something that pops! That makes someone go “WOW!” Well that is what the salt flats are to me. Yes, everyone and their dog shoots there. (heheh, true.) but it is A WOW location, and you can almost always go where no one else is cause it is massive out there in the middle of nowhere (seriously, almost two hours from SLC. hahah) It is BEAUTIFUL. And oh so worth the drive.

There is ALWAYS beautiful lighting here too. Crazy harsh sunlight, golden hour, soft lit, blue hour and finally some dark/flash ones. SO WORTH the crazy light differences in just an hour and a half. INsANE- go check this formal session out!!

What's the most meaningful gift you could give someone?

In my opinion...

A clearer picture of themselves. Everyone's perception is so different, especially about themselves.

So I would choose to help them see their self, not only the way that I see them... but the way their creator sees them, people that look up to them the most, the people that dream and love on them without their knowledge. Being seen through the eyes of those that know your worth, value and significance is a gift that only every single person dreams of. (Amirite?)

I dream of it. I wish to be seen. I wish to be seen for being creative. For having opinions. For dressing the way I dress. For doing the things I do. It doesn’t motivate me… but it does motivate a lot of people. I wish to be seen…and not romantically, but by the world. Isn’t that weird? We long for acceptance.. but by everyone? If you were accepted or seen by one or two people would you be satisfied? Would you be completely okay to surrender and live your life with NO more guilty looks around a room to see if anyone sees you? I mean you might be okay, and even completely okay. I am, sometimes. Because duh, confidence. But not everyone has confidence. Not everyone is willing to voice themselves, be opinionated and say I"‘LL BE OKAY IF SHE/HE DOESN’T LIKE ME” And like you, as in a human being. Do you feel like you’re liked? Would you be okay if you were never liked? What would happen if someone didn’t like you? Could you handle that?

Yes, we should spread love. Yes, we should spread acceptance. But we should also spread boldness and bravery to withstand hate, and withstand rejection. And not only withstand it, but use it to our advantage. Bad vibes can be turned into good vibes by the receiver. We can take hate and give them love. We can take rejection and give them acceptance. We can fight for our worth. We can fight for our value and significance as a person. If someone doesn’t like you, or even extends an act of hatred towards you, can you accept it lovingly? Can you let it burn you brighter rather than extinguish you? Can you take bad and turn it into good?

Take that. Love hate. Love rejection. Love fear. Because it turns into the brightest flames, if you let it.

And show up, today. Fight for your fire and your flame, but also fight for someone else. Give someone the gift of being seen. Every dang time YOU want to be negative, reject someone, burn or extinguish someone else’s flame… stop. And see them, as you would want to be seen. So…

See someone, because they are worth being seen.

Tell someone they're worth it! Because they are!

And choose to see someone today and tell them they are valued, loved and seen. They deserve it, you deserve it and the world deserves it.

CREATIVITY IS A LIFESTYLE

Creativity is a lifestyle. What does that even mean? Does it mean being creative here and there isn’t a thing? Or catching a creative shot once means you’re creative all the time? No. Creativity being a lifestyle means that it is pressing on your heart and soul all the time. I believe creativity is within everyone. Just how good is in everyone and just how bad is in everyone. (But that’s totally a different topic) Creativity is within you, within me and within your next door neighbor. It might not be YOUR type of creativity, but it is a type of creativity.

Now what? You’re saying there’s different types of creativity? Well, sure! There’s a creative baker or a creative surgeon, a creative artist or even a creative photographer. ;) Anything can be creative. Creative means “relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.” So YOUR OWN. Unique. A true artist’s work. You. Are. An. Artist. You just have to figure out what kind. Creativity is a lifestyle… so find your life. Find your creative. Find your dream and let it be YOURS.

Dreamiest couple. Took them a few decades to find each other, but they feel so at ease with each other. They both just know they were meant to be together. How pure and profound is that. The salt flats are a Utah Destination and this was no exception. It gave us the most beautiful lighting! Joni sure enjoyed licking her salt too. ;) It’s a drive, but worth the view and feeling. Exceptional shoot!! I enjoyed getting to know these two better and their love story. Turns out he got a real good talk from her dad, as it should be. ;)

These two were so easy to help pose and they were willing to do anything for a good shot! Not only that, they are so in love. So happy for these two. Their wedding will be a day of happiness for sure. <3

Isabelle + Seth

Isabelle and Seth are the sweetest human beings! They are such a perfect match. They couldn't stop teasing and showing their huge amount of love for each other during the entire session. He pretty much melted into her arms and their smiles couldn't get any bigger than they were! I am so honored to capture this beautiful love. Congratulations, you two! You were made for each other. <3 

California Elopement

California was a DREAM. But this Elopement/Wedding was even bigger. This is PART 2 of the California Adventures- This is the wedding! 

We rushed back from having a fun day at the beach where I got a great sunburn which turned into a tan. ;) I rushed back to get some getting ready pictures and ring shots before we rushed off to the beach again for the ceremony. We had the perfect lighting, the perfect spot on the beach & the perfect sound of rushing waves behind them as the became one.

What a MAGICAL trip!! San Diego, California is definitely STUNNING, especially to get married at with close friends and family.  Here are a few highlights but don't forget to keep scrolling for the fun story of the trip... San Diego is one for the books, for sure.

We finally got to our hotels around 2am, Thursday night. I couldn't help but take pictures and enjoy the buzzing of the city. I'm a wanna be city girl. 

These two lovebirds went and got their wedding certification at the San Diego City Hall the next morning. We then went and checked out the beach they would become one on the very next day. We took an unexpected water fight in the ocean where their little guy chased birds & felt the warm sand (a little too warm) on his feet.

After our fun visit to the beach, we headed to the San Diego Zoo & spent a few hours there, only catching a glimpse of how MASSIVE it is.

We had a blast but wanted to see the beach again! We then went and took some GORGEOUS pictures and had a blast watching the sunset right there on the beach. But the drive over was BREATHTAKING as well.

We had high hopes to capture a completely different feel and conceptual creativity, but I think we did a grand job of capturing what was meant to be captured. Grace is obviously very photogenic and I had no difficulties posing her. My favorite go-to was "Fake laugh really hard now" Grace is a powerful individual who is focused on making her and others lives better. She was so open to experimenting with me and we had a RAAAD time. Just see for yourself...

HEY GUYS. Re-posting this from my old website.  I am a writer and a very obsessed one at that. I want to start sharing my thoughts and ideas! Before I make this blog post into a word vomit, let me START BY SAYING HELLO, AND THANK YOU FOR READING! I just got a new logo/watermark designed! I describe below what each part means to me, so that you can better understand who I am as a person, creative artist & photographer. Feel free to scroll and see my beautiful project! Eek!

MY NEW LOGO AND DETAILS:

I wanted to refer everyone to a place where they can read and learn more about ME and who I am in my logo AND to answer questions. Why did you a put a hidden waterfall into your photography logo? Why the Eiffel tower? I didn't know you designed websites, tell me more? So, here's the spill!

WATERFALL: The waterfall in my new logo represents Iceland. Why Iceland? Iceland has been a DREAM of mine (and most photographers) because of the GORGEOUS lighting, landscape, adventure, challenge and STORIES yet to be told. As photographers, we ache to tell stories with a click of a button. We yearn to be where adventure is and most of us have a fire inside us fueled by wanderlust. Iceland has been my dream for years now. I've spent countless hours researching the ring road of Iceland, the crazy weather, northern lights, waterfalls and secret hot pools. The ancient history, governmental structure, museums, temperatures, language, Pinterest pictures, reading blogs, studying MY HEART out about this little land of fire and ice that has captured my heart and is such a core foundation of who I am now as a person and where my business started with passion and fire and creativity. Iceland DESERVES to be respresented in my logo. 

EIFFEL TOWER: The same goes for Paris, France. The idea and love I have for traveling is deep in my core of who I am, it is ME. Paris is a stereotypical adventure place, but it is the city of love and has sure made me grown to love it. The feeling I get when I am behind my camera shooting is the same feeling I DREAM, hope and IMAGINE when I am standing in front of the eiffel tower, looking way way way up and tears streaming down my face knowing that I have made a dream of mine come true. Photography is about the moments I feel empowered, whether it be in front of the Eiffel tower or behind my camera or waking up at 1am to hike a mountain to see the northern lights in Iceland. 

CODING: The coding on the left of the logo represents my website designing aspect of my business. I LOVE working with my clients to achieve their business goals and dreams, creating their websites help me do just that! Go check out my "SERVICES" page to see some of the websites I've done! 

WHITE BOKEH: The white bokeh has always been a favorite of mine. White is the color of purity. The white bokeh represents newness, fresh, beginnings and a SMALL PART OF THAT is the Wedding Industry! Wedding Photography is something I am LOVING EVERY BIT OF! Capturing the first day of a new chapter of two people's lives & their families. Capturing love is a beautiful calling and I would be so so honored to captures yours for you. 

PHOTOGRAPHY is my passion, love, joy and freedom. Photography is a creative outlet and such a joy and I am so thankful I have the opportunity to do what brings me so much joy. <3
